I am a nurse specialised in mental health, a hypnotherapist, a wellbeing coach and a Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) specialist. I have worked as a nurse on NHS mental health, neurology and neuropsychiatry wards. I spent four years on an inpatient neuropsychiatric ward supporting people living with FND, where I first met the condition and where my commitment to supporting people living with it began.
From early in my training I was drawn to approaches that support the mind–body connection and the regulation of the nervous system. I now bring my clinical experience together with hypnotherapy, mindfulness and polyvagal-informed practices. I believe meaningful and lasting change comes from a holistic approach, and from focusing on practical, helpful steps that can be adapted to each person's circumstances and energy.
Today I work with people living with FND around the world. I offer one-to-one sessions, I run group sessions and programmes, and I collaborate with FND charities to deliver courses. I work in English and in Spanish, and often with families as well as with the person who has the diagnosis.
I am the author of the FND Care Guide, written in collaboration with people who have lived experience of FND, and a member of the FND UK Network, where I represent the Royal College of Nursing. Whether you are newly diagnosed, still waiting for answers, or years into living with FND, you are welcome to book a free consultation and talk things through with me.
